A Life Interrupted by a Call

A young man was killed by a train while walking on the railway bridge in Sirajganj's Ullapara while talking on the mobile phone. This incident took place on the Ghatina railway bridge of the upazila on Sunday morning.

The name of the deceased is Yadul Hossain (26). He is the son of Abdul Latif of Ullapara Adarshagram area.

According to the local railway police and eyewitness sources, Yadul Hossain was talking on the mobile phone while walking over Ghatina railway bridge in Ullapara at around 7:30 am today. At this time the 99 up local train from Chapainawabganj to Dhaka came. Seeing this, the people around him called him a lot. But he did not hear. In a moment, the young man's body was cut in two by the train.

Ullapara Model Police Station Sub-Inspector Zahidul Islam said, on inquiry, it was revealed that the young man had left the house in the morning with his wife. He died after being hit by a train while talking on the phone.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sirajganj Bazar Railway Police Station Mahbubur Rahman said, the body was recovered and sent to Sirajganj 250-bed Bangmata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib General Hospital for post-mortem. The body will be handed over to the family after legal proceedings.
